Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Patricia Roszyk
Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome to Third Grade, Room 104, at Irene King Elementary School. I am looking forward to working with you to ensure that you have a successful year. This is my 15th year as third grade teacher here at IHK. I attained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from St. Francis University in Joliet, my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in River Forest, and my Type 75 Administrative Certification from North Central College in Naperville. In my spare time I enjoy vacationing and promoting global travel with family and friends along with a new skin care and wellness product called Keprea. YOU SHOULD BE HERE fits all of the above.
Here is an overview of a few experiences included this year. Students will be exposed to many different types of literature and continue to develop into independent readers and writers. We will use the Eureka Math resource as we learn to multiply and divide along with using higher level thinking skills to solve more complex math problems. Science and Social Studies topics will include the solar system, rocks, American government, map skills, etc.
I look forward to meeting each of you. I am confident that by working together (student, parent, teacher, community) your student will reach all the goals that are essential for success in third grade. I expect this year to be a successful one. Your support and input are needed for your student’s development. I am looking forward to making this year a rewarding one for all of us.
