Soy Liliana Salvitano-Sotelo. Soy pedagoga de formacion en Mexico obtenida en la Universidad Pedagogica Nacional. Fui maestra de Ingles en la Universidad del Sol asi como propietaria de un CENDI antes de ser reclutada por el Distrito de Valley View para ensenar a su pobalcion bilingue hace ya 15 anos.

Una vez en los Estados Unidos debi certificarme en mis areas de deficiencias haciendolo en la Universidad de Northern Illinois en donde obtuve mi maestria en Educacion enfocada a la Educacion Bilingue y el Ingles como segunda lengua; recientemente termine una segunda maestria en Educacion Especial en la Universidad de Saint Francis.

Me encanta la educacion creo que esta ha sido una de mis logros mas grandes en la vida. Servir a mis estudiante y a sus familia, siempre ha sido mi prioridad. Ver a los ninos en su aprendizaje y el como logran sus metas es realmente gratificante y una gran experiencia para toda la vida.

I am Liliana Salvitano- Sotelo. I have a bachelor degree in Pedagogy from Universidad Pedagogica Nacional in Mexico. I served as English teacher at Universidad del Sol and had my own childcare center before Valley School District 365 U went to Mexico and offered me a position to come and teach to their Bilingual population 15 years ago.

Once in the United Sates, I needed to re-certificate and I attended Northern Illinois University and got my Master’s in Literacy Education with a major on Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language. I recently completed my second master in Special Education at University of Saint Francis.

I love teaching. I think it has been my greatest accomplishment in life. Serving students and their families have been my priority. Seeing students learn and accomplished their goals is a rewarding experience that will last a life long.
