Mrs. Krista Simpson
I attended Western Illinois University where I earned my Bachelors degree in Special Education. I continued on to earn a Masters in Reading from Olivet Nazarene University, additonally I recently earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. In addition to being the District Tutor for Out of School Suspensions, I am the Assistant Activities Director at RHS. I have been working with activities for the past 18 years. I absolutely love my job and the best part is all of the amazing connections and events I get to create with students and staff alike!
To All Parents: I would highly encourage you to talk with your Spartan about joining a club or sport during their time at RHS. There are so many benefits to being invloved in extra curricular activities. Some of those benefits include increased academic success, finding passions, expanding horizons, learning life skills, and having fun! Many colleges want to see that students are involved in a few clubs where they take on a leadership role, find their passion, and stick with a program for their four years. Most colleges are not looking for students to be only participants in a bunch of clubs. If you visit https://sites.google.com/vvsd.org/athleticsactivities/home you will be able to find a list of all of our Sports, Clubs and Activities along with the coach/sponsor contact information. If you have any questions, or would like some help getting your student involved, the best way to get in touch with me is via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I would also encourage you to follow RHS on social media. You can find us on Twitter @RHSSPartan, RHS Facebook page is linked below. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, dancing, and Netflix! My husband and I also love watching our two boys play sports. We are huge football fans at our house and spend much of the fall and winter either playing or watching football.
