My name is Asia Sobiech and I am one of your Social Studies teachers. Currently I teach Psychology and AP Human Geography. I started at BHS in 2016 and am in my 2nd year of teaching.

I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2013 with degrees in Psychology and Compartive Human Development. I then went on to get my teaching certification at Natuonal Louis University and completed my masters in the summer of 2017. Eventually, I would like to go back to grad school to pursue a masters or Ph.D in psychology. Prior to starting teaching at BHS, I worked as a paraprofessional at Ridgewood High School in Norridge, IL. 

Outside of work I spend most of my time with my husband, Matt and our puppy, Bear. I am a fluent Polish language speaker and on weekends I teach polish to 1st graders in a language emerison program. I am an avid runners and am almost always training for some race. This year I plan on running 3 marathons to make 13 total.
