Mrs. Kristina Stanley
Hello and welcome!
My name is Kristi Stanley and I am one of the STLR teachers at Hermansen (Structured Teaching Learning Resource room) currently teaching K-2nd grade. This year marks the my 7th year teaching in the STLR program. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Bradley Univeristy. I continued my education shortly after beginning my career and earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University and currently hold my Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement. I reside in Plainfield with my husband Dan, my 5 and 2 year old sons Emmett, and Elliot. We also have a Boxer pup, Layla. I have worn several hats since earning my degree in 2007 from teaching 2nd grade, being a paraprofessional and teaching at a therapeutic day school before joining the Valley View School District in 2014.
My two passions are my family and teaching. I am committed to you and your child and working together as an effective team to provide the best learning environment for your child as possible! I am confident this will be a great year and I am very much looking forward in getting to know your child and see where this year takes us!
