Welcome to 4th grade!  My name is Mrs. Thom and I have been teaching 4th grade in our district for 16 years!   I am proud to say that I'm a product of Valley View and feel lucky to be teaching back in the district where I started.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementray Education from Aurora University in 2005.  I attended Concordia University where I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014, and completed my Middle School Endorsement through St. Francis University.   I have been married for 14 years, have a Shih Tzu puppy named Dottie, and enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews.  In my free time I enjoy traveling, camping, seafood, music, and watching the Chicago Bulls!  Looking forward to having fun & learning together this year!
