Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!!

I will be your teacher this year for either Honors Pre-Calculus or Algebra 2.  I will be using Google Classroom for both classes, and will have the calendars for each linked to this page.  We will also be using the chromebooks in and out of the classroom many days of the week.  This is the best way to stay current with what is happening in the classroom.

Now, let me tell you a bit about myself.

Teaching Life -- I have been teaching math for over 20 years.  I have successfully taught all subjects from 7th grade math to AP Calculus AB.  I believe all students can learn the mathematics they put their minds to learning.  It may not be easy, but I am here to guide you through the rough spots.  I try to employ different methods of teaching content, and have always encouraged students to work together to understand and internalize the math.  I will be incorporating methods that I have found to work throughout the years, as well as, some new techniques I believe can help. I am hoping each of you sees and feels this in the classroom on a daily basis.

Educational/Professional Life--I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Indiana State University--Go Sycamore!  I also hold a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Educational Leadership.  I started my teaching career in the Indianapolis, Indiana public school system teaching inner city middle school students.  After I married, I moved to Illinois and taught high school math at Thornridge High School.  Once my children were all in school, I came to work at Romeoville High School.  I have enjoyed working with the students and staff here for 16 years.

I look forward to the year ahead, and to all the great things my students will accomplish!
