I am a co-teacher in the Social Studies department. I am so excited to be working with the staff, students and families at BHS this year. This will be my fourteenth year of teaching and it continues to be a very enriching experience. I look forward to getting to know your child over the next year, but first let me introduce myself. I live in Naperville with my husband of 33 years and have three grown children. I also grew up in London, so you will hear my distinct British accent when we get a chance to talk!

This is my ninth year in Valley View and I have taught at BHS, BSE and PNR. I have served different roles in the district including Coordinator for Specialized Instruction and Resources and SRT. I got my bachelor’s degree and my first master’s degree from NIU. Go Huskies! I also have a masters in Educational Leadership and an ELL endorsement. I have worked with students of diverse abilities at all grade levels and enjoy getting to know them and their families each year. I learn as much from my students and families as they learn from me.

My hobbies include fitness, baking, movies, reading and crocheting. I like to relax by cleaning. In particular, I love organizing spaces! (I guess we all have our quirks!). I also love to learn new phrases in other languages. Feel free to teach me some if you can speak a language other than English! My favorite things include travel, French Fries and cat naps (not during school!!!).
