Mr. Andrew White is in his ninth year of teaching and happy to be a part of the Music Department at Romeoville High School. He previously taught at Eisenhower High School in Decatur, IL and Ottawa Township High School in Ottawa, IL.
Originally from Upstate New York, Mr. White received Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Millikin University. During his time at Millikin, he sang roles in several operatic productions, performed with the award winning vocal jazz ensemble OneVoice, and served as a section leader for the nationally acclaimed University Choir under the direction of Dr. Brad Holmes. He completed Masters of Music Education through the VanderCook College of Music in Chicago and is currently pursuing his Masters of Teacher Leadership through the American College of Education.
At Romeoville High School, Mr. White teaches four curricular choirs, AP Music Theory, vocal jazz, madrigals, and produces the spring musical. He directed Little Shop of Horrors (2016), Footloose (2017), and The Wiz (2018). Since then, he produced and vocal directed The Addams Family (2019). Also, Mr. White co-founded Valley View STAGES a summer musical camp for VVSD middle school students. He looks forward to another greaet year working with the talented students of RHS!
