Hello, my name is Donald Shrader and I am currently teaching two periods of LLI reading instruction and also supporting ot her AVM students in other classes as well.  I am excited to be here at AVM and look forward to getting to know each of your students better.

I hold a Bachelors degree in history from Northern Illinois University in December of 2013 and also earned my Learning Behavior Specialist certification from Lewis University in 2015.  Teaching is a second career for me as my previous career experience was in the field of project management.   I have known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was about 17 years old and am happy that I finally am getting the chance to fulfill that dream.  I was lucky to have many passionate teachers while I was in school that made an impact on me.  It is my hope that I can help the students here at AVM to reach their full potential and to contribute to their overall growth.
