Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies & Communication (University of Illinois at Chicago) Master of Arts in Teaching (North Park University)

Mrs. O'Connor-Staudt

Graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013 and North Park University in 2017, I love teaching Spanish. As we know, learning languages enables us to make deeper connections with more people within our communities and around the world, and it brings me so much joy to guide students on their journey to bi-/multilingualism.

I started my educational career as a substitute teacher in Lake Forest in 2015, then as a Spanish I teacher for 6-8th graders at St. Gilbert School in 2016. Previously, I worked as a research assistant, translator, and interpreter from 2011 through 2016. I started teaching at BHS in 2016. In 2021 I became the World Languages Department Chairperson.

In my free time I love cooking, kayaking, traveling the world, and practicing yoga.
