Mr. James Black

My name is Mr. Black and this will be my first year teaching here at Bolingbrook High School and my fourth year of my total teaching experience.  I look forward to working with you and your children during the 2017-2018 school year and I am committed to the success of everybody involved.

It has been my goal throughout my years of teaching to be a positive influence on student learning.  I constantly try to empower all of my students and create an optimal learning environment for them to flourish in.  I strive to make learning an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for every student in the classroom while still keeping the material rigorous and relevant to my students' needs. I also have very robust literary, rhetorical, and writing backgrounds and provide students with equal opportunities to reach their fullest potential as learners and as future members of society.  Helping students achieve their goals continues to help me accomplish my ultimate goal of becoming an effective, impressionable instructor that students will value as being an important and influential part of their lives.

This year I will be teaching English 11 and British Literature and you can find me in room B127.  I'll be the really tall one, you can't miss me.  My email is also listed on the side and would be the best way to contact me for whatever reason.  I will also be attaching my work phone number once I figure out what it is.

I am excited for the school year and all that it will bring. I hope that you are too!
