Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology University of Iowa M.Ed. in Technology, Learning, and Design Lewis University

Ms. Rebecca Finke

I began teaching at Romeoville High School in August of 2017 and currently teach Sociology and US History. I am also the Senior Class Sponsor and a Homebound Tutor. I love working with the senior class to make RHS a better place! Working with homebound students allows me to bring an engaging and positive learning enviroment to students who cannot attend RHS in person.

Before I began my career here, I taught Psychology and World History from 2015-2016 at Richards High School in Oak Lawn. I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Secondary Education. Prior to my education at the University of Iowa, I went to Lockport Township High School where I was actively involved in Cheerleading, Interact Club, and Ski & Snowboard Club.

I started working on my Masters in Technology, Learning and Design at Lewis University and will finish in May 2021. This degree allows me to pursue my passion for integrating technology and 21st century learning skills into my teaching!

Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends. I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. I enjoy living in downtown Chicago and trying out new restaurants and exploring the city. I also try to spend as much time as possible outside and love to walk and hike.
