"Heat canot be separated from fire, or beauty from The Eternal" ~ Dante Alighieri

I began my teaching career at Romeoville HS in 2017 and am dual certified in English and in Special Education. Currently, I teach English 11 and Latin American Literature 12; I am the Junior Class Council Sponsor and a member of Valley View's District Impact Team.  My major focus of study and research has been Modern British Literature; especially the works of T.S. Eliot, W.B. Yeats, and Joseph Conrad. I have a  passion for Vietnam War Literature; particularily the writing of Tim O'Brien, Larry Heinemann, and James Webb. However what captivates me the most, is religious studies; I am eternally compelled to read and reread Dante's Inferno and John Milton's Paradise Lost. My forte is writing; especially critical essays through the Literary Theoretical lens of Post-Structuralism/Deconstruction (Jacque Derrida).

Prior to teaching, I was employed as a technical corporate writer and editor for IBM Silicon Valley, San Jose and owned a private proofreading and editing company. I am a die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, and in my free time I prefer to be on the water fishing for large mouth bass.
