    We​ ​will​ ​build reciprocal partnerships with families and the community to achieve our mission and vision.

     


     

    Strategy​ ​7:​ Community Partnerships

    We will build reciprocal partnerships  with community members, businesses, and organizations to improve access to high quality learning opportunities for our students.

    • Collect, monitor, respond to, and communicate student and community needs assessment data to determine the scope and sequence of this strategy and ensure responsiveness 
    • Using schools as hubs, explore ways to connect with the Community Schools model to bring together many partners to offer a range of supports and opportunities to children, youth, families and communities (offering a full continuum from birth through post-secondary). 
    • Build reciprocal partnerships to recruit, connect, and engage community programs, services and resources to better meet students’ basic social emotional, and health needs
    • Build reciprocal partnerships to recruit, connect, and engage community programs, services, and resources to better meet family needs.
    • Build reciprocal partnerships to recruit, connect, engage community programs, services, and resources to better meet student’s college, career, and life competencies to support post-secondary success
    • Build reciprocal partnerships to recruit, connect, and engage community programs, services, and resources to provide extended day and year opportunities to student success 
    • Build reciprocal partnerships with our community through a shared understanding of our district performance.
    • Promote service-learning opportunities that increase student connectedness to the community.

     

    Strategy​ ​8:​ School/Family Partnerships

    We will build reciprocal partnerships with families that respond to their needs and concerns and honor their contributions in order to sustain meaningful family engagement  aimed at improving student outcomes .

    • Collect, monitor, respond to, and communicate family voice data to determine scope and sequence of this strategy and ensure responsiveness. 
    • Engage schools and families to develop reciprocal relationships that are trusting, respectful and honor diversity. 
    • Communicate clear commitments for reciprocal partnerships between school staff and families, with an awareness of diverse backgrounds, to support the goal of student growth and achievement
    • Share consistent expectations for communication with families from classrooms, schools and the district to ensure a service-oriented experience.
    • Partnering with families to support the development of college, career, and life readiness for all learners.
    • Ensure student growth and proficiency reporting efforts are understandable, standards-based, and provide families with the information they need to be partners in improving their child’s achievement.
