Hola! My name is Maria Roca and I am a co-teacher in fifth grade bilingual with Frances Delgadillo. This is my second year at JRT and I enjoy being a part of a school that has such a caring and welcoming staff along with truly awesome students.

I began my teaching career over twenty five years ago as a second grade and later a Kindergarten teacher. I then took some time off to stay home with my three children and work towards my secondary education certificate. I returned to teaching as a substitute teacher and LBS assistant working with early childhood through high school students, while earning an endorsement in special education.

I have a BS in elementary education from Iowa State University and have endorsements in both English/Language Arts for secondary education and as a Learning Behavior Specialist.
