As the Core Content Administrator for Literacy, I have the fortune of working with a group of talented, dedicated, and passionate teachers to prepare students for life-long literacy.  Prior to joining BHS in 2019, I taught English in Batavia for 12 years. I earned my BA in English Education from Illinois State University in 2007, my MA in Educational Leadership from Roosevelt University in 2010, and my MA in Linguistics from Northern Illinois University in 2013.

In my time away from BHS, I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching my sons’ youth teams, and reading suspenseful books.  My favorite books are (but are not limited to) 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, and Blindness.
