Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Shuo Zhang. I am your child’s teacher in the Ladybug Room. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I grew up in China and graduated from Dalian University of Technology with a Bachelor of Art. I obtained my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I also received my endorsements in ESL and Bilingual instruction from National Louis University. I started working in the field of early childhood education as an associate in Boston Children’s Museum and then as a Foreign Language Teacher (Mandarin) in Boston Public Schools. Previously I taught blended preschool programs in Chicago and the west suburb. I live with my husband, my two sons (7-year old and 2-year old), and my mom in Bolingbrook.
As a teacher and parent, I believe the cooperation between us is the most powerful tool to make a difference in children’s growth and development. Open and constructive communication can lead the path for us to work together. I would like to discuss our school life and share with you any steps in your child’s development. If you have any questions, concerns or celebrations please don’t hesitate to tell me, call me or email me. I look forward to building the classroom as a community and helping each child to reach their full potential.
