Ms. Sandra González
¡Buenas! Soy la Profesora Sandra González. I am excited to be teaching Heritage Spanish 3 and 4 at Romeoville High School. I started my teaching career at West Aurora High School, moved on to teach at Oswego High School, and now teach within Valley View School District. I am the oldest daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, a first generation college student, and have taught Latinx students since the start of my career, of which advocating for them is my passion. My love for teaching Spanish grew out of having the opportunity to study abroad in España and México, visiting Costa Rica, and going back and forth to El Salvador to visit my family. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in educational foundations and administration with an emphasis in leadership, equity, and inquiry from Illinois State University. When I am not in school, I enjoy photography, my cats, and family.
