Erin Clifford
Hello everyone! My name is Erin Clifford and this is my second year at BHS as a Family and Consumer Sciences instructor. In total, this will be my fifteenth year total. I've taught a variety of courses, including Foods and Nutrition, Resource Management, Early Childhood Clinical, Preschool Learning, and more at the high school level and I've also been lucky enough to teach courses such as Families in Crisis, Aging in the Family, and Apparel, Textile, and Merchandising Budgeting at the university level as well. I will be heading up our Education and Human Services pathway, teaching the courses Orientation to FACS, #Adulting, Child Development I and II, and Teaching as a Profession (K-12). I am also the sponsor for our Educator's Rising chapter which is a national organization for high school students interested in going into the field of education and human services.
As far as my personal life, I have been married to my husband for seven years and we have a four-year-old daughter. We both grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and are settling back in after seventeen years in central Illinois. In my spare time, I love to read, exercise, and hang out with family. I also truly love what I teach and really do just enjoy researching new and interesting lessons and activities I can do with my students to hopefully better prepare them for life after high school.
