Dean Goff

Dean Goff - New Refined Dean at BHS...Who is she?

I am so excited and amped up to be a Raider!!

My name is Taisha Goff pronounced (Tae-E-Sha Goff) There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into my career and my commitment to you and this institution.  Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am a mother of two boys whom I absolutely adore.  They are still in elementary school and they keep me busy.

I have served in various capacities in Education for eighteen years now.

Academic Experience:

I was a former middle school ELA teacher and a Reading Intervention Specialist and Team Lead. I cannot express enough how much love what I do! I currently hold two Master’s degrees. One in Educational Administration and the other in Multicategorical Special Education. I am considered Highly Qualified in a number of areas.  Currently, I am completing my Doctorate in Education.

Administration Experience:

I served in different administration roles for approximately five years of my career. I have served as a dean, and AP and a principal. I personally elected to be a dean to continue to work closely with the students and support them in and outside of the classroom.

Athletic Experience:

I am a seasoned fifteen-year sprint-relay and jump coach at the High School Level.  Prior to coaching track at the high school level, I was a park district volunteer track coach in the city of Chicago. I ran track in high school as a sprinter all four years and part-time in college before completing my bachelor’s degree in Education.

I served as the head coach of a High School Cheerleading Program. I coached two competitive levels within the program both JV and Varsity.    I have coached that sport for over 14 years. In addition to my fervor of track and field,  cheerleading and dance I have a passion for education as a whole.  Reading, writing ,teaching and learning. From sports to academics, I demonstrate the tenacity and fortitude it takes for success.

During my tenure of 17  years in education.  I have successfully trained, mentored, and developed numerous athletes and students in both arenas. On the field or court, in the classroom or gym, I strive for excellence within my students and student-athletes.

My philosophy in life and athletics is “If you don’t have the heart for it… Don’t do it! It takes heart, not just talent.”- and "If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain."  - Maya Angelou

Let’s make this the most proactive- positive-productive year at BHS! Remember to Honor Bolingbrook, Honor the Raiders.
