Degrees and Certifications:

I am very excited to be joining Irene H King as the new fourth grade teacher! I grew up in the Valley View School District. I went to Elementary school at Irene H King, AVM for Middle, and Romeoville High School. After i graduated High School, I joined the US Army. I was stationed in Fort Wainwright Alaska and as you can imagine it was very cold! I deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 -2012. After I got out of the Army, I started my journey in the education field by attending Illinois State University. I graduated from ISU in December 2018 and started teaching my first class in the fall of 2019 as a sixth grade teacher at Sandridge school in Chicago Heights. The following year I was offered the opportunity to teach third grade at Sandridge and I accepted. The drive from my home in Crest Hill helped me to decide to find a more local place to teach. (45 min - hour drive depending on traffic).

I would like to share a few things about myself as person, the first being I am a huge Cubs fan. You will probably see me around wearing my Cubbie blue. I have always enjoyed to read comic books and I know quite a bit of superhero trivia. If you are wondering, my favorite superhero is Batman. I always liked the idea of a guy without any special powers being a superhero because it means everyone has the capability to be a hero. My wife and I have two children, Amaya and Ezra. Amaya will be two in October and Ezra was just born July 29, 2021. As a result, there has been some restlless nights at my household.

I want to thank you all for welcoming me into your community and into the lives of your children. I truly feel blessed to be back at this school and I look forward to meeting all of you. Plesae feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions.
