Hello! My name is Lauren Willis and I am excited to be the Assistant Principal of Special Education on the BHS administration team. I received my Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Illinois State University and then obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the field of Social Work with a concentration in Schools. Shortly after that, I realized that I enjoy managing efficient systems and decided to go into administration. I went to Governors State University and received my Masters in Education Administration and then obtained my Director of Special Education endorsement from the University of Saint Francis.

I am in my eleventh year of education and have dedicated my career to supporting the whole child--academically, socially, and emotionally.  My passion is student services and ensuring all students receive the appropriate support that is needed as parents and students navigate their educational journey.

Outside of the school setting, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. When not spending time with family, I enjoy entertaining movies, organizing anything in my house, practicing self-care, and attending sporting events.
