Middle School Schedule
We are excited to share information regarding our new bell schedule, which will be implemented in all Valley View middle schools starting in the 2026-2027 school year. This update is part of our ongoing commitment to providing a rigorous and responsive learning environment for all students.
The transition to this new schedule was driven by several key goals designed to better support our students' developmental and academic needs:
Developmentally Appropriate Instruction:

Developmentally Appropriate Instruction: The new 59-minute classes better meet the developmental needs of middle school students by providing an ideal balance between student stamina and rigorous learning.

Daily Core Subjects: The new format allows for daily instruction in Social Studies, STEM, ELA, and Math. This will ensure consistent engagement with these critical subjects.

Responsive Support: The schedule includes a daily, dedicated 40-minute student support period to provide more immediate and responsive instruction. During this time, students will engage in academic, social-emotional, and enrichment/extension opportunities.
The daily schedule will consist of seven total periods, including:

Same start and end times

59-minute classes

ELA, Math, Social Studies, and STEM daily

Careers/Band and PE will rotate on an A/B schedule.

One 40-minute Student Support Period, daily

A 30-minute lunch period
