• Health and Safety Commitments

For the start of the 2021-22 school year, our priority is the full on-site return of all learners. Remote learning will only be provided to students for periods of quarantine or isolation.

We will approach with layered strategies to reduce risks of the spread of COVID-19. The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has fully adopted the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) updated guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in Schools  released on July 9, 2021 and updated July 27, 2021, as well as the updated guidance released January 11, 2022.

The guidance emphasizes the following points :

    • Prioritize returning all learners to the physical classroom
    • Plan for layered mitigations
    • Plan for ongoing monitoring (local community & school)
    • Use metrics to guide decisions on the level of layered mitigation strategies
