I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Valley View School District 365U for 2025 will be held on December 08, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at John J. Lukancic Middle School, 725 Normantown Rd, Romeoville, Illinois 60446

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended for 2024 were $192,976,253. The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $202,513,000. This represents a 4.94% increase over the previous year.

III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 were $35,166,588. The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2025 are $35,159,887. This represents an 0.02% decrease from the previous year.

IV. The total property taxes extended for 2024 were $228,142,841. The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $237,672,887. This represents a 4.18% increase over the previous year.

V. The taxing district has estimated its equalized assessed valuation to secure new growth revenue. PTELL limits the increase over the prior year in the property tax extension of this taxing district to the lesser of 5% or the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is 2.9%. The district’s proposed tax increase is less than 5% and is not required to comply with the Truth in Taxation Act for taxing year 2025
