VVSD Staff Spotlight- Gale Bekielewski, Lukancic Middle School Clerical Aide

Among the many things we celebrate at the end of the school year, we bid a fond farewell to the VVSD Staff Retirement Class of 2026.  This year’s class of 45 members departs with combined years of service of 859 years.

Representing this year’s class in the Spotlight is Lukancic Middle School Clerical Aide and Athletic Director Gale Bekielewski. Just call her “Coach B”, everyone else does! Coach B is retiring after 36 years with VVSD.  Gale is the longest serving staff member in this year’s retirement class. Gale provides more than just her job skills to Lukancic. Her office is a sanctuary from the day-to-day adventures that make the life of staff members, shall we say, interesting. Especially when sitting in the gliding chair that came into Gale’s possession as a gift prior to the birth of her daughter. (We won’t say exactly how many years ago that was!)
