VVSD Staff Spotlight- Melissa Youngs, VVSD Technology
Being an Adaptive Learner is one VVSD’s core competencies in our Portrait of a Learner. The VVSD Technology Department is filled with examples of staff members who continually adapt and learn technologies and then help students and staff members to implement and use new systems.
Melissa Youngs is a member of the VVSD Tech Team who as a VVSD student, never imagined a career in technology. Her ability to understand how systems operate and how to solve problems led to a job that didn’t even exist 20 years ago. Melissa credits her workplace success to being part of a Tech Team that she loves.
One more thing, Melissa’s problem solving skills also make her an expert gamer who has successfully navigated some of the most challenging video games.
