VVSD Staff Spotlight- Nick Torres, 7th Grade STEM Teacher Lukancic Middle School
Originally, Nick Torres’ goal was a career in law enforcement and criminal justice.
However, when he started looking for a job to start his career after finishing school, he knew something wasn’t right. Criminal justice no longer appealed to Nick as he expected which made the job search very difficult.
Nick’s older brother Mike is a physical education teacher at Oak View Elementary, and a brotherly backyard barbeque conversation led to a change in career path for Nick. The path led Nick to a teaching career at the same middle school he attended as a student ten years ago.
