VVSD Staff Spotlight- Vanessa Bobrowski, 4th Grade Teacher Oak View Elementary
As a high school student, Vanessa Bobrowski was considering professional paths of becoming either a nurse or a teacher. During her 12th grade year, Vanessa took a child development class and became interested in the process of human childhood learning.
Upon enrolling at Illinois State University and meeting with a counselor, Vanessa’s decided to follow the teaching path, and chose elementary education as a major as opposed to early childhood because elementary education provided a wider range of grade levels as employment opportunities. A student teaching assignment at Oak View led to Vanessa’s current role as a fourth-grade teacher.
