Board of Education

The Board of Education is an essential component of Valley View School District, responsible for overseeing the educational system's management and ensuring that Every Learner receives the best education possible. Our board members bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to the table and are passionate about serving our community.

The primary responsibility of the Board of Education is to set policies and guidelines for the District, including the curriculum, budget, and staffing. They work closely with the superintendent and District administration to ensure that these policies are effectively implemented. The Board of Education also serves as a liaison between Valley View School District and the community, working to promote communication, transparency, and collaboration. They regularly hold public meetings and encourage community members to attend and provide input.

Board of Education meetings are conducted at John J. Lukancic, 725 Normantown Road, Romeoville, IL 60446. The public portion of meetings begins at 7:00 PM. The meetings are live-streamed on YouTube and rebroadcast several times each week on Bolingbrook Community Television and Romeoville Public Television (Channel 6).
