• Amanda Siegfried - Romeoville High School, Class of 2006

    Amanda Siegfried (Romeoville HS ’06) is Senior Director of Communications for Oak Park Elementary School District 97.  Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and then began her career as a journalist. Three years later, she shifted her career path to school communications.

  • Dan Laverty - Bolingbrook High School, Class of 1987

    Dan Laverty (Bolingbrook HS ’87) is the Principal at VVSD’s very own Humphrey Middle School. After graduating from BHS, Dan enlisted in the United States Army and served in the infantry, stationed at Ft. Campbell KY. He used the GI Bill to earn his bachelor’s degree at Western Illinois University, and holds two master’s degrees in school administration and curriculum & instruction. Dan began his VVSD career as a guest teacher in 1995.

  • Greg Bolek - Bolingbrook High School, Class of 1993

    Greg Bolek (Bolingbrook HS ’93) is the VVSD Information Systems Security Manager. Greg just joined the VVSD team after working in Lockport School District 92. Greg has an undergraduate degree in business administration from Illinois State and a master’s degree in information security from Lewis University.

  • Jason Fletcher - Romeoville High School, Class of 2000

    Jason Fletcher (Romeoville HS ’00) is the General Manager of the Lowe’s Home Improvement Distribution Center in Rockford. Jason began working for Lowe’s shortly after earning his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University. He is the youngest distribution center GM in the Lowe’s organization in the country.

  • Capt. John Sergeant - Romeoville High School, Class of 1996

    Capt. John Sergeant (Romeoville HS ’96) is the Chief of Emergency Medical Services for the City of Naperville Fire Department. Capt. Sergeant is in his 21st year with the Naperville Fire Department and recently was recognized as Naperville Firefighter of the Year. Last April, he was travelling on I-57 near Champaign and was first to arrive on the scene of a rollover accident. He began attending to the victims on the scene and then assisted the responding EMS personnel.

  • Brandy McCurrie - Romeoville High School, Class of 1988

    Brandy McCurrie (Romeoville HS ’88) is the Administrative Assistant in the VVSD Office of Human Resources. Brandy began working for VVSD as part of the co-op career program while she was a junior at RHS. Shortly after graduating, she became a full-time administrative assistant with VVSD and now is one of the longest tenured VVSD staff members having served our community and its’ learners for 31 years.

  • Dr. Lori Motsch - Bolingbrook High School, Class of 1987

    Dr. Lori Motsch (Bolingbrook HS ’87) is the Superintendent of Schools in New Lenox School District 122. After graduating from BHS, Dr. Motsch earned her bachelor’s degree in education at Illinois State followed by masters and doctorate degrees at the University of St. Francis. She served District 122 as a teacher, principal, and director of personnel before becoming superintendent in July 2020.

  • Suraj (Neil) Sheth - Bolingbrook High School, Class of 2014

    Suraj (Neil) Sheth (Bolingbrook HS ’14) is a Doctorate of Medicine and Philosophy candidate at the University of Chicago. He is a recipient of the Volunteer Gold Service Award from President Barack Obama. As a mathematical biologist and data scientist studying complex systems, Neil’s research utilizes large datasets to understand the impact of pandemics such as COVID-19 on local communities.

  • Dr. Cheryl Lockard - Bolingbrook High School, Class of 1987

    Dr. Cheryl Lockard (Bolingbrook HS ’87) is the principal at VVSD’s Beverly E. Skoff Elementary School. Dr. Lockard knew she wanted to be an educator from the time she was in first grade. Her overall goal as she began to pursue her career path was simple: she wanted to create a classroom atmosphere students wanted to be in. That goal still guides her to this day.

  • Ken Burgess - Romeoville High School, Class of 1985

    Ken Burgess (Romeoville HS ’85) is a VVSD Transportation Vehicle Maintenance Assistant. After graduating from RHS, he joined the United States Army and served until 1993. Ken was a driver for officers and trained in defensive driving, combat driving, and recovery and escape. He was on the team that extracted General Manuel Noriega from Panama in 1990.

  • Bill Normand - Romeoville High School, Class of 1997

    Bill Normand (Romeoville HS ’97) is the Assistant Principal at VVSD’s A. Vito Martinez Middle School. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Millikin University, he returned to VVSD to teach PE and Driver’s Education at RHS. In 2012, Bill became a dean of students and served in that role until named Asst. Principal at AVM. He also coached wrestling, golf, baseball, and football at RHS.

    Jason Hendry (Bolingbrook HS ’97) is a 5th grade teacher at VVSD’s Independence Elementary School. In addition to his classroom work, Jason is also a leader of the 21st Century After School Club and is one of the founders of the Independence Boys’ Club, which focuses on social-emotional lessons and emphasizes gentlemanly conduct.

  • Anthony Herron - Bolingbrook High School, Class of 1997

    Anthony Herron (Bolingbrook HS ’97) is a television and radio sportscaster and football analyst for WSCR Radio and WFLD TV in Chicago and the Pac 12 Network. After graduating from Bolingbrook HS, Herron attended the University of Iowa and then played in the NFL for the Detroit Lions. He completed his college degree in 2006 and began his work as a broadcaster.

    Dorion Edwards (Bolingbrook HS ’18) is a Culinary Specialist Third Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy currently serving aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), the largest aircraft carrier in the Navy. Dorion prepares meals for over 3000 sailors each day. As part of his duties, he also battle fed his crewmates as part of Full Ship Shock Trials.

    Vince Camerano (Bolingbrook HS ’09) is the CEO and Owner of Master FX, Inc., the world’s fastest-growing special effects designer and manufacturer. Vince and his team of Master FX technicians create special effects such as fog that enhances stage shows and special events, as well as smoke used to train first responders and firefighters.

  • Yazmine Medina - Romeoville High School, Class of 2017

    Yazmine Medina (Romeoville HS ’17) is a 7th Grade Science Teacher at A.Vito Martinez Middle School. Yazmine is an alumna of both AVM (Class of ’13) and Romeoville HS. Yazmine earned her teaching degree from the University of St. Francis (’21) and was inspired to pursue a career in education based on her experiences with AVM teachers when she was a student.

    Darcy Zack (Romeoville HS ’11) is a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist with the Stepping Stones Group in Elkhart IN. Darcy also works part-time as a speech pathologist at Elkhart General Hospital. Darcy attended Joliet Junior College after graduating from RHS. She then earned her bachelor’s degree at Elmhurst College and then a Master of Speech Language/Pathology degree from St. Mary’s College.

  • David Morehead - Romeoville High School, Class of 1983

    David Morehead (Romeoville HS ’83) is the Orchestra Director for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. David is in his third decade as a cruise ship musician. His job with Royal Caribbean allows him to travel the world and to pursue his love of the art of photography. He is also enjoys cooking and has a YouTube channel dedicated to preparing vegan meals.
