R.C. Hill Students Learn How Energy Transforms
As you read this story, you’re probably not thinking about the coal, sunlight, or nuclear power that transformed into the electricity that now powers the device you are using.
Students in the R.C. Hill 4th grade classroom of Mrs. Cynthia Abel have been studying energy, and more specifically, how energy transforms. For example, in the video you’ll see how light powers a radiometer and how light raises air temperature.
As you watch the video, don’t be alarmed by the noises in the background. One of the stations in the classroom was students trying to move objects with the vibration of their voices. Being the intuitive learners that they are, they figured out pretty quickly the louder the voice, the more vibration!
