Two Brooks Students Accept 30-Day Challenge, Go Without Video Games and Screens
During this school year, Brooks Middle School students in the 8th grade Honors English Language Arts classes of Mrs. Sally Green took on a reading challenge to read for enjoyment for 30 consecutive days. This was inspired by the various 30-day challenges that are popular on social media.
Two students transferred the 30-Day Challenge to their personal lives as Marlene Vargas gave up “screens” (mobile devices, computers, tablets) and in particular social media, while Raymond Sanchez gave up video games. How did the two 8th graders fare and what did they learn? Watch the video and listen to their interview to find out how things went.
