Five Bolingbrook HS Art Students to Have Works Displayed at State Competition

Five Bolingbrook HS art students will be among those presenting their original art creations and competing for more than $88 million in college art scholarships at the 8th Annual Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE). BHS students Tiana Carino, Amy Jaimes, Dewoyne Lampkin, Abby Phanor and Kyran Sample have received $538,000 in scholarship offers so far to continue their art education in college.
Tiana Carino will have their artwork displayed at the Senior Show and Tiana Carino, Sara Vazquez, Amy Jaimes, and Paula Hernandez will have their artwork displayed at the General Show as part of the Illinois High School Art Exhibition. These art shows run from Mon. Mar. 2 through Sat. Apr. 4tat the Bridgeport Art Center, located at 1200 W. 35th St. in Chicago. A public opening will be hosted on Sun. Mar. 8 from 11am-6pm at the Bridgeport Art Center. The IHSAE features several unique programs for high school art students and K- 12 Art Educators throughout the year.
The IHSAE is the state’s largest high school student art exhibition that is also widely considered the gold standard amongst high school student art exhibitions nationwide.
