AVM Opens Remodeled Student Fitness Center

Modern physical education curriculum focuses on the benefits of physical fitness while also teaching students the strategies for how they can improve their physical conditioning.

At A.Vito Martinez Middle School, the student workout room was in need of updating.  The physical education teachers presented a plan for improvements to AVM Principal Mrs. Sarah DeDonato and she enthusiastically supported the project.

Upgraded and improved equipment are the most noticeable elements of the new AVM Student Fitness Center, but the project got huge assists from VVSD Facility Operations who picked up, delivered, and installed the workout equipment and upgraded the lighting and electrical supply.  The AVM Operations staff supplied fresh paint to the walls and the VVSD Print Shop helped with creating the graphics that adorn those walls.
